The principle of non-intervention in the domestic affairs of another nation is enacted by the Charter of the United Nations, and globally accepted. However, should individual countries truly have no right to interfere with the affairs of another country? It is widely believed that every country should have the right to decide their policies independently. Interference often leads to one-sided demands and unreasonable dominance, which contradict the benefit of a country which receives them. The history of colonization obviously reveals the existence of conflicts and exploitation as a result of outside intervention. Additionally, Russian invasion of Ukraine indicates that interference in the affairs of another country results in a terrible situation even today.
