Kenta Nishida

Hello! I’m Kenta Nishida. I was born in Shiga prefecture, but now I live in Tokyo. Actually, I love my hometown, Shiga, because it is surrounded by a lot of mountains, and I can enjoy the picturesque view of Lake Biwa! I also love visiting Kyoto since it has a lot of temples and I feel relaxed whenever I spend my time in Kyoto. From my hometown, it takes only 30 minutes to go to Kyoto.

At my university, I major in financial engineering. Finance uses not only economics but also statistics and mathematics, which makes me excited. Luckily, I will become a stockbroker from next month. I cannot wait to start my job! I love thinking about why the stock price goes up and down because I can understand what is going on globally by checking the stock price.

As for my free time, I am into music. Especially, I love listening to HIPHOP music! In addition, I am absorbed in watching American series of dramas. Currently, I am watching “Mentalist”! I also enjoy doing yoga, taking a walk in the morning, so I make it a rule to wake up early in the morning! Nice to meet you!

  1. Hi, Kenta. What a nice essay this is!
Actually, I was born in Shiga, but I move to Yokohama when I was 1, so I don't remember any sceneries there. It's nice that you can go to Kyoto within an hour from your hometown!
Financial engineering seems cool because you can objectively analyze the current situation in the world. You will work as a stockbroker and make the most of your financial knowledge, that's awesome.

  5. Financial engineering sounds very interesting. I've once taken the classes of economics, but the mathematics used as a measure of solving the economical problem was too complicated.

  7. My grandparents' house was located in Shiga, so I have been there many times. However, since I was a small child then, I do not remember much about Shiga. I want to visit Shiga again soon.

  8. First of all, the sentences you wrote above are totally lovely and friendly. I thought a stockbroker is a man who seeks for the money but it has turned out to be wrong. Stock prices have many things to do with the global situation and you want to understand why the price is going up and down and what is going on over the world at the same time. That is insightful.
