Natsumi Fujita
I was born in Kagawa, which is in south-west Japan, then moved to Tokyo after I entered the University of Tokyo.
I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and now I am in my second year for my masters in public policy. I'm interested in gender inequality in Japan. While in college, I'm undertaking a wide range of part time jobs; a waitress in a cafe near the university, intern in a medical startup company, and online study coach supporting students.
My passion is dancing. I practiced ballet for 10 years. In high school and college, I belonged to the cheerleading team. I really enjoyed dancing with my teammates and cheering up a lot of support teams such as the baseball team, the soccer team. Now, I enjoy dancing with Korean-pop music.
My other passion is flower arrangement. I can embrace four beautiful seasons through flowers and express my feelings by arranging them as I want.
Starting next month, I'm working at a consultancy firm in Tokyo. I'm excited to support our clients(If I can, I'd like to be engaged in the industries such as consumer packaged goods and healthcare systems) and contribute to improve the productivity in Japan. I'm looking forward to working with my colleagues from all over the world to boot.
What did you do as an intern for a medical start-up company? I would like to hear more about it. I would also like to see you dance :)
ReplyDeleteYou have experienced so many! Weren't your school life very busy?
ReplyDeleteYou're very active. I want to see your flower arrangement and dance someday :)
ReplyDeleteI'm very curious about being an intern in a medical startup company. Why did you decide to work in that company? If it's okay, please share your experience more.
I have been to Kagawa before, and I remember a lot of beautiful sceneries! I think you were born such a nice place!
ReplyDeleteI think public policy is very interesting, isn't it? If possible , I'd like to learn about it in the future. I am very surprised to hear that you have experienced a variety of part time jobs! I imagine you could learn a lot of things!
Dancing is very exciting. I am into music, so I sometimes watch tiktok videos in which young people enjoy dancing to the music! And the flower in the post is really fascinating! I love this picture!
I hope you can enjoy your future job!
I am poor at dancing, so I must be surprised if I see you dance. I think it must be fun if I practice and become good at dancing, but I don't have enough energy to do so. I also respect you for doing a variety of things!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shogo.
DeleteYou can start dancing by searching something easy and nice on YouTube:)
It must be a lot of fun and good for your health!
Hi Natsumi, you certainly do seem to have had a wide range of experiences and to have a lot on your plate at present. I'm guessing, though, that you thrive on pressure. I like it that you have embraced both the traditional and the modern in your choice of pastimes. It is awesome that you can move in both the worlds of K-pop dancing & Ikebana.
ReplyDeleteDavid :-)
Thank you, David! I really enjoy both the traditional hobbies and the modern ones!
DeleteI appreciate that you gave us a wonderful opportunity to share our profiles with the classmates.
I am sorry to be prejudiced but I know only people who like dancing and playing sports but dislike doing fllower arrangement or people who like the arrangement but dislike dancing. So I don't understand why you are so talented. I think you have had many interests and passion for various areas since you were a child. Congratulations to your departure for a new world of wonder.
